It is vital to note that these days the ready-made Mehndi cones have some chemicals inside them. Thus before you actually apply the entire design, try a small spot for design first. Rest for a while. If you are allergic to the chemicals in the cone then you will develop rash or itching. In such a case you must leave the idea of the ready made Mehndi cone.

The Art of Indian Mehndi designs tradition
Art of Indian Mehndi design and its origins
The
word Mehndi comes from a Sanskrit word Mendhika. This is definitely an art
form. But traditionally it was an intrinsic part of Vedic customs. Both haldi
and mehndi took prime place in traditional Indian customs. But in olden days
mehndi designs were not as progressive as they are today. At that time, Mehndi
designs were symbolic in nature. For example, a sun or moon, a bird or fire or
lamp etc. were the traditional designs that used to be presented on hands and
feet. The overall idea of mehndi designs was to represent internal awakening.
Even
though mehndi as an art of temporary skin decoration started in India it took
no time to spread to Bangladesh, Pakistan, Maldives and Arab. In fact, today
even the European and Western countries have accepted this as an art form to
glorify and decorate skin. In India, mehndi is not just limited to be applied
during weddings. It is applied during various festive occasions like Karva
chauth, Diwali, Durga Puja, Teej, Bhaidooj, Eid and so on.
In olden
days mehndi was made at home and a thin stick or fingers were used to apply it
on hands and foot. Today, we have readymade mehndi cones and there are so many
great artists who create superb designs for you. It won’t be difficult today to
find good mehndii artists. This is because we have many of them. There are very
talented mehndi artists who apply intricate designs of mehndi to brides before
the wedding event. In some places of India this system is also followed
for bride grooms. In fact, before wedding a special event or party is
organized, known as Mehndi event or Mehndi party.
Even in
Gulf countries a day before wedding celebration of Henna night is organized.
This custom has spread even in Middle East Arabic mehndi design and Africa.
In fact, it is believed that African tribes have better idea about mehndi since
ages because even in their tradition Henna was used as body decorating theme
for creation of some symbols on the body.
The art
of mehndi design in India is therefore quite old and even though it is old, it is still popular.
The designs available these days are so rich and beautiful that no one can
escape without getting impressed. The modern designs have a combination of
designs like leaf, mango, groom’s or brides name hidden in the design, peacock,
swastika, kumbh and many such symbols that make any event graceful and elegant.
Initially when ready-made mehndi cones were not available and it was made at home,
people used to apply mehndi in hands and foot and then they used to keep it
overnight. But now when ready-made cones are available, mehndi is worn only for
around 3-4 hours and result is awesome. It is believed that if hands are not
put in water then the color would even be darker in forthcoming days. Thus,
brides to be are told not to put hands in water.
We
already have so many mehndi patterns and designs. We are sure as time passes;
there would be more discoveries and inventions in this particular art form. Please do comment below if you loved our designs.
Beautiful Designer Sarees
India is recognized to have wonderful dresses and costumes. The most typical and accepted Indian attire might be the saree. For your single length of material, the Indian saree should be the most versatile garment around the world. A saree is really a rectangular part of cloth which is 5-6 yards long and often nine yards. Yet, this dress is worn by countless Indian ladies and is, definitely, probably the most elegant as well as preferred. It isn't merely a dress-up costume but an ornament, lending both grace and glamour towards the wearer. The Saree is perfect for all purpose - party wear, daily wear, bridal wear etc.
The Indian saree has retained its beauty over centuries. This attire has retained its innocence through its original form but it really has evolved in tremendous variety. An even more feminine dress has not been seen anywhere. This attire can cover against head to toe, creating a woman look modest and coy. But simply shift the pallu, put it on with a stylish blouse and yes it could give any Western dress a fancy.
